What Is CBGa
Cannabigerolic acid (CBGa) is a psychoactive, non-psychotropic acidic precursor to CBG found in raw cannabis. Called the mother of all phytocannabinoids, it is the primary phytocannabinoid in carboxylated cannabis and is considered the stem cell phytocannabinoid, first discovered in 1964 and later isolated and synthesized in 1975. Synthases, natural enzymes in cannabis, break down CBGa into most other phytocannabinoids, including THCa, THCVa, CBDa, CBDVa, CBC, CBCV, CBNa and CBGV. CBGa in particular has been shown to assist with bacterial infections, cancer and pain relief.
